The Garden at 120 is a rooftop garden in the heart of the City of London. The view from this panoramic terrace is absolutely breathtaking.

The Garden at 120 is a lush, open-air garden on the roof of an office building. Nestled between the skyscrapers of the City on the 15th floor of the Fen Court Building, it offers a panoramic, à 360° view of the entire capital, from Canary Wharf to the Shard, the Walkie-Talkie, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the Thames, to la St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Gherkin.

The garden is surrounded by glass panels, which allow you to fully enjoy the scenery. As he stood by the edge, Jérôme felt like he was literally suspended above London.

In the summer, the vegetation is lush and abundant: wisteria, roses, creeping plants, lavender, fig trees, lilies, and entire walls of fragrant jasmine…
With its many benches and reflective water feature, this spot is the perfect place to take a break and enjoy some quiet time when the weather is nice, with a stunning view of the city.
Entry to the garden via the elevator is free, and there is no booking required.

It so great! The rooftop is perfect for a sunny day, but even on a windy or overcast day you can get a great look at London from up there 👌🏻

Jérôme felt like he was suspended above London. But Steph? Did she not venture that far over? ;-). (Personally I’m a little weary of height and don’t ever venture to look down!)

I’m not as comfortable with heights, but was very happy to walk around, taking pictures and smelling the jasmine ☺️

What a coincidence! Love that. You can have your lunch there once the weather gets warmer again 😄
There’s a security check at the foot of the building, I think the only thing they rejected were glass bottles.

I haven’t been to the garden before, I’ll have to add it to my list of places to go the next time I’m in London. It’s looks great and the views are incredible.

Oh yes, absolutely! More and more of these rooftop views are popping up around London, but for many of them you have to make a reservation. This is so lovely AND practical!

Thanks for your advice. We live close to London and we will try it out. Yesterday we drove past all these buildings. London is also impressive at night. But we will wait until the spring time. Sometimes, you live too close to a place to notice the good bits. Especially, when London is a place to commute on a regular basis. Thanks for your advice.

Yes I suppose it would be better to wait for spring! Hopefully you can enjoy the wisteria up there when they are in season again in April-May
