We created Strafari five years ago, on the 15th of august 2018, with the aim to (re)discover Strasbourg, reconnect with our city and see it from a different angle, like travelers in search of new discoveries…
We made this bilingual French and English blog in order to share our discoveries and best tips in Strasbourg.
From 2021, we decided to add our travel experiences, favorites and recommendations to the mix. While unable to travel because of the Covid pandemic, we realized that traveling and exploring Strasbourg were both complementary and inextricably linked…
In addition to the blog, we run an Instagram account where we also share a combination of travel and Strasbourg content. Thank you to our more than 8000 Instagram followers!
If someone had told us that five years on:
• our blog would be read all over the world, and would be in the Top 3 hits on Google for the search “travel blog Strasbourg”…
• one of our Instagram posts would have a total of 2 million views…

Firstly, to keep going. I have blogged under many ‘brands’ the last twenty or so years and I’ve seen many people stop blogging.
It’s great you diversify and blog what and how you like. That’s a great way to keep having fun blogging.
And bravo for being thé reference for Strasbourg. I certainly know where to look when or of I’ll visit Strasbourg.

Happy writing and exploring! Just realised that we also started our blog in August, 5 years ago. It took us around the world and in Canada during Covid. Have not been in Strasbourg yet, but it is on our list for next summer.
