Where to stay in Warsaw: PURO Hotel

PURO is a contemporary boutique design hotel in the center of Warsaw. It is located just a stone’s throw from the famous Palace of Culture and Science.

JEMS Architekci are behind the conception of the modern and geometric seven-floor building, while the decor was imagined by London design studio De Salles Flint. The interior designers have focused heavily on creating a refined and inviting atmosphere: soothing color palettes, quality materials (wood, brass, velvet, marble…), elegant leafy plants, comfortable couches and armchairs, iconic European design furniture, stylized maps of 19th-century Warsaw and the art on the walls all work together to form a harmonious whole.

PURO Warsaw’s 148 rooms and suites combine style and comfort with lots of natural light. The hotel offers four different room categories, from the Classic (19 m² with a Queen size bed) to the Executive Suite (50 m² with a king size bed, living room, and dining room).

The interior of the rooms is contemporary and clean-cut, with a vintage flair: light grey and wood details, and modern furniture with touches of orange and soft pink. The grey tones are echoed throughout the bathroom decor. Stéphanie loved the complimentary organic bath products by Alba 1913, while Jérôme was very happy with the rain shower head. The wardrobes were made to resemble old-fashioned steamer trunks with leather handles, and the mood in the room (lighting and blinds) can be adjusted with a tablet. The bed is soft and comfortable (the mattress is by Swedish brand Hilding), and the rooms are equipped with a Bang & Olufsen speaker.

The breakfast buffet is generous and varied, with both local and international dishes.

Magari, the hotel restaurant, offers a modern take on classic Italian cuisine: antipasti, meat, fish, pizza, pasta, and dolci. Sit back and relax in chic and welcoming surroundings, decorated with colorful maps of Warsaw, or enjoy a lovely quiet meal on the lush terrace in the courtyard.

Loreta, the hotel bar, has a rooftop terrace and offers tasty cocktails, a wide selection of drinks, spirits, and snacks.

When you need to unwind, you can book treatment at PURO’s spa, Prisma, or an aromatherapy session at the sauna. There is also a gym available. For those who want to explore the city, you can borrow free bikes from the reception, or join one of the free walking tours organized by the hotel on Saturdays.

PURO Hotel is an urban oasis at the heart of the Polish capital, with a style of hospitality that is both refined and laid back.

We particularly enjoyed:

  • The hotel’s artistic approach to design
  • The central location
  • The quality bedding and well-isolated rooms, for a good night’s sleep
  • The hotel’s environmental measures: recycling bins, food waste reduction, water and energy saving, the possibility to decline daily housekeeping
  • The friendly and efficient staff

Looks lovely, modern and elegant and the location is ideal. I stayed in tiny Airbnb in Warsaw, it had a tired and dated decor but I survived 😉 In the future I will treat myself to something like this for a change 🙂

You do get quite a lot of bang for your buck at PURO! Let us know if you stay there in the future! They have hotels in several other Polish cities, and will be opening in easert European capitals in the future

I frequently stayed at Puro while traveling to Warsaw for work. The lobby has a unique ambiance resembling an art gallery, and the bed, along with its pillows, offers exceptional comfort. Unfortunately, I never got the chance (and the time) to experience PURO’s spa treatment 😦
