In the center of Dublin, The Iveagh Garden Hotel has positioned itself at Europe’s first fully sustainable hotel. From modern design and strong environmental policies to comfort and proximity to the main sights of the Irish capital, this hotel embodies the spirit of a dynamic, eco-conscious city that is looking to the future.
While there is no shortage of hotels in Dublin, the ones offering a high-end experience, a central location as well as a true commitment to the environment, are few and far between. The Iveagh Garden Hotel ticks all three boxes

Located in a building full of character, a 20th century bank, this four-star hotel opened in 2018 with a stand-out approach in the hospitality industry.

One of its main selling points is its environmental commitment. Its carbon footprint is among the lowest in the business in Ireland. The hotel’s electricity is produced and supplied by a system connected to an underground river running directly beneath the building, thereby decreasing its energy usage by around 78%.

The interior focuses on refined materials (leather, velvet and wood), elegant color palettes (teal, gold and grey), and a muted ambiance. Every detail has been chosen for the comfort of the guests.

The hotel offers five different room categories, from the compact and colorful City Pods for solo travelers, to the plush and luxurious Presidential Suite, which has a private terrace.

Our Deluxe Triple room is spacious, elegant and tastefully decorated, with the same high-end materials as we found in the lobby. The double bed is comfortable and cushy.

Another asset is the hotel’s strategic location. Go for a stroll nearby in Iveagh Gardens, one of Dublin’s loveliest public parks. The city’s most famous sights, such as Trinity College, St. Patrick’s and Christ Church Cathedrals, Temple Bar and St. Stephen’s Green, are less than 20 minutes’ walk away..

We particularly enjoyed
- The hotel’s sustainable approach
- The central location
- The stylish and colorful interior
