Strasbourg’s European quarter is home to a large number of European institutions and representations (such as the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, and the European Court of Human Rights), as well as parc de l’Orangerie and the All Saints Orthodox Church.
A mere stone’s throw from the European institutions, le parc de l’Orangerie is the oldest and largest public park in Strasbourg. Locals love to gather in this green lung in the middle of the city, stretching out over 64 acres.
The All Saints Orthodox Church, in its shades of turquoise, gold, and white, was built right along the waterside between parc de l’Orangerie and the Rhine.
Here is our selection of the 10 best views of the European quarter in Strasbourg:

So fascinating about all of the European institutions! I did not realize that. I’m familiar with Brussels and the Hague in that regard (I’ve visited these places with my husband, a political scientist and Croatian expat), but did not realize Strasbourg had so many institutions as well.

Yes, it’s perhaps lesser known but Strasbourg is the second capital of Europe in that respect! 🇪🇺
