We dropped by Madame Julia on a Saturday just before lunchtime to try their à la carte brunch (served Saturdays and one Sunday a month). We took our seats in this calm and cozy foodie haven, just across from the place de la Bourse.
We particularly enjoyed the Green Pancakes and Madame Julia pancakes, washed down with a smoothie (green, to go with the interior). Another time, we would have gone for a hot drink, an iced tea or a deliciously nostalgic warm milk with honey.
Depending on the time of day, you could also opt for a savory poké bowl, or a sweet one (for lunch), a raspberry cookie or a slice of pistachio cake (in the afternoon). With its jazzy and bossa nova playlist as well as its koselig vibe (as Stephanie would say), this café is a great place to chill out under the high ceilings, and let your mind wander as you gaze through the arched windows.
