A gourmet restaurant in Alsace: Au Cygne

Located in a charming, blue half-timbered house in the center of Gundershoffen in northern Alsace, Au Cygne is a gourmet restaurant that combines elegance and conviviality

The refined decor and muted ambiance of the restaurant create a relaxing environment that is ideal for fine dining.

The “Saveur” set menu consists of three courses – an appetizer, a main (meat or fish), and dessert. The flavorsome and delicate dishes truly showcase the quality of the local produce.

The fish course transports the senses with a perfectly cooked fillet of sea bream, served alongside pan-fried zucchini subtly seasoned with Madras curry.

The rack of veal goes perfectly with the broccoli medley.

For dessert, the refreshing notes of the lemon basil combine harmoniously with the Alsatian strawberries.

The petit fours round off the meal with a selection of delectable sweets – special mention for the canelés and house-made blackberry jellies.

We particularly enjoyed:

  • The house aperitif with Crémant and passionfruit
  • The melt-in-your-mouth tender rack of veal
  • The attentive and thoughtful staff
  • The kitchen’s adaptability to allergies and food intolerances
